Sell Us Your Books & Ephemera

We encourage you to contact us if you have a work or collection that we may be interested in selling. For an idea of the kinds of works that we are looking to purchase, please browse our featured items or our general inventory.

In light of the research involved in evaluating rare books and ephemera, we prefer to assess all material by email before inspecting them in person. Accordingly, please feel free to email us at Questions@respublicabooks.com regarding a remote assessment, including the following relevant information:

1. Author
2. Title
3. Publisher
4. Year of publication
5. Any statement of edition or printing contained on the copyright page
6. The presence or absence of a dust jacket
7. The presence of any inscriptions, highlighting, underlining, or other marks
8. Provenance (if known) with respect to signed works, letters, and ephemera

If possible, please provide pictures of the item with your email, including, as applicable, of the copyright page, the dust jacket (front, back, spine, inside flaps), and of any inscriptions, highlighting, underlining, or other marks in or on the book or dust jacket.

Although there are exceptions, we are usually not interested in ex-library books with related library stamps and markings.

Upon receipt of your email, we will review and respond at our earliest convenience with any questions. If we are interested in further evaluating your item(s) after completing this review, we will thereafter email you to discuss shipping us the item for our in-person inspection.
